Im in New Zealand!
More specifically, I am in Paihia at the Mayfair Lodge, and for those of you who don't already know, this is the beach town i lived/worked in when I spent time in New Zealand two years ago!!!! it is SO SO SO SO SO good to be here. And another bonus, my friend Stu from Scotland is ALSO here! Again, for those of you who arent already in the know, I lived here.. at the Mayfair, with Stu! He is one of the few people I have kept in real contact with over the past two years so It is REALLY REALLY good to see him!
I'm here with Drew, Rachel and Litz and we've been having so much fun. Despite our $80 cab ride in Aukland, we had a nice evening there. Drew and I had all you can eat pizza and then went for a walk down to Viaduct Quay and also just around town visiting all the old places I used to visit! The next morning we go on a bus and took off to Paihia. After ariving at about noon we were all exhausted so we just had a nap, walked around a bit, and then for dinner we went down to the Beach House and had the ever-famous garlic chips and insanely good burgers with some Monteiths!
This morning we got up kindove late and took our time getting the day started, me and the girls walked into town to look in the shops and get some coffee. Afterward we met up with Stu and Drew and headed out to Kerikeri to go to the warehouse! Such a good time haha.. afterward we made out way out to Charlie's rock for some cliff jumping in the freshwater pond/waterfall. I don't seem to be quite as brave as I used to be... I could only jump from a lower perch, and couldn't get myself underneath the water fall... hrmm...
Tomorow we are going Sailing all day in the bay! I am really really excited about this! We are going with a company called Gungha and apperently the guide is a really nice Canadian dude and our group will be really small.
Coming home soon, very excited to finally see my family and good friends, but also a little apprehensive about re-establishing where I am going to place myself as far as a social life goes. Things are going to be much much much different than they were when I left from Canada. Things will be good but I think it will take a bit of time to settle in properly.
I have spent my last week or so in Sydney mostly hanging out with Binny. He's proving to be a pretty sweet dude to have around and is definately one of the people I'm going to miss heaps once I leave. We went and saw the movie run fat boy run.. soooo good! Also we've been out partying, out walking, he's been showing me new places in Sydney, good times all in all. Also the day before I left for NZ Harvey came into Sydney so we had some dinner and drinks and went out dancing afterward. Was super fun! I met some of his friends, their friend's friends, their friend's friend's friend's... etc.. anyways was a good crowd.
My last days in Sydney are going to be super exciting, and then some time in HK and then... this is the msot exciting part... I get to meet up with Whitney and PROBABLY Tessa on Saterday night in Vancouver to go party at 911 Turbo!!!! How fun is that????
Anyways, may or may-not update again before I come home but I am looking forward to seeing you all and will talk very very soon!
Much Love

Bad news from home, my dog Beta got cancer and was put down last Saterday :( I am so heartbroken, she is such a part of the family it's going to feel a bit empty when I get home, without her constant yelling at everyone for whatever things.
In like 11 days I'm off to NZ, then I'm back in Sydney from Apirl 1-7, then on the 7th I am off to HK and I am there for a few days, then perhaps Vancouver if my mom wants to meet me there, then home!!! My trip is going to end about a month and a half earlier than originally planned but at this point I'm simply working to get by and don't have the funds to do much more than go for ice cream, and my homesickness for my nephew and familly just seems more important! I can't wait to come see the fam!
SO i should be home in a month or so!!!!
Thats all for now
Take Care

Anyways, here in Sydney I have made some really amazing friends, my housemates are wicked, Rachel and I are getting on famously and we have accumulated a bit of a posse aswell! There is Binny, Ben, Jamie and his housemates, me, Litz, Rache, and then sometimes a few others join! They are all super amazing and have been extremely accomodating aswell to todd and drew!
My jon at Platypus is really good, I already have been givin the keys to two Platypus locations which is bizarre but cool aswell. It's super relaxed and very easy.
And Drew and Todd came! Seeing Drew has been so good, I am so happy to finally be with him again. Todd on the other hand is not so happy to be here. He decided he is going home because he doesn't like travelling? Crazy, I know. But I understand, travelling is very hard and certainly is not for everyone, and it's even harder when you are in love with someone back home, as Todd is!
Tomorow me and the boys are heading out to Manly Beach to stay in hostels there. Its such a beautiful place, on the complete opposite side of Sydney than Bondi!.
Drew is staying here in Australia with me for a while, not sure for how long but I sure am happy to have him around. After NZ me and Drew are heading up to Surfers Paradise where I am pretty sure I have a reception job at a hostel secured!!! wahoop! ALSO Stu from Paihia is coming here to Sydney, and coming to NZ with me!!!!! I am so so so excited to see him finally, we talked on the phone a few days before I left Canada and I haven't spoken with him much since then!
Allllllso Harvey from HK is coming here beginning of April so I am excited to catch up with him again! We had so much fun in HK together and we will have lots of fun here or in surfers aswell!
On the otherside, travelling this time around has been extremely hard for me, emotionally. It seems I'm quite homesick, much more than last time I went travelling. Don't get me wrong I love being here but I am very very excited to come home aswell. I miss my family an incredible amount, and I am torn about missing out on my Nephew growing up. He is getting so so so so so big!!!!!!!
OH. LAST NIGHT I ATE MEAT. IM NOT A VEGETARIAN ANYMORE. BIG NEWS. WOW. It was so amazing too hahahaha. I had sphaghetti Bolonaise and also a bite of Drew's steak. So yummy. My body has been asking for it for months now and It feels very good!!!!!!!!!!!
And thats all for now!!!!

Iv'e decided too I'm going to move up to Surfers for a couple months before coming home... yay!

Im not in HK anymore, in Sydney now and I atcually really miss HK!
I made some amazing friends there and did some amazing things
My last few days were particularily special. Me and this guy Adam from England went to Disneyland!!!! SO MUCH FUN. It was like being a little girl over again, I cried like a thousand times hahaha. When we saw the lion king, when we watched a micky mouse rock show, the fireworks from the castle at night... gah it was sooo good!
That night Harvey came back (Harvey is a good friend I made in HK) from Tokyo and we went out to soho and Lan Kwai Fong ...always a fun time with him! The next day we went to this chinese new years festival where there was shop after shop after shop of balloons, kumkwats and flowers! Harvey bought me this balloon that had a balloon fish inside of it, but I got sick of carrying it around so we gave it to a little girl on the street. She was so happy.
No matter where I go, a child's excitment and happiness is such a universally heart-warming feeling. Thats something Harvey and I talked about, the things in life that are universal. We were able to open up to eachother an incredible amount, it's insane how quickly you can grow to know and trust someone when time is not a luxery.
Anyway, at the end of the day Harvey and I went to this amazing amazing amazing ritzy fancy resteraunt in the Interconitnental Hotel overlooking the HK island skyline... WOW. There was a string quartet in the background, champagne, tastey food, lychee martinis, good conversation (as per usual)... everything was just so beautiful.
After we joined up on team Adam to get him out experiencing the gay district of Hong Kong, that was an interesting way to spend my last night in HK but adam got to go out and see whats what with the comfort of having friends present, so it was good!

I was very sad to leave HK... honestly, I miss it. I think I miss the backpacking life. Victoria had an amazing suggestion that I should get a job in a hostel!!!! SUCH a good idea and there are hostels around my place that are really nice!
Sooo now I'm in Sydney living with my housemates Rachel (from saskatoon, an old old friend of mine!) and Alitta from here in Oz, she's called Litz though. My girls are amazing, I'm so lucky to have landed in a flat in such an amazing location with two outstanding girls!!!

I worked for one day at an organic resteraunt called Brave but I quit immediatly because my boss is kindove a dick head and also happens to be in love with Litz and yeah, since thats not going so well I though it would be best to leave that situation as soon as possible. I had a trial at a shoe store yesterday. It was boring, but good. I think it was boring because it was absolutely nothing new at all!! The one nice thing is that its right on the beach!!! AND if I stay there its like 20 bucks an hour... and on the weekends I get paid cash in hand so theres no tax deductions!!!!
Me and my housemates booked our flights to NZ yesterday, we are flying out March 27 and coming home on the 1st of April... we are SO excited and to raise money we are having a car wash and bbq.. 5 bucks for a wash and 5 for a sausage and canned drink! If we promote it enough over the next three weeks, and have 50 people come.. THATS 500 BUCKS! and we are going to give 5 or 10% of the proceeds to world wild life organization to save the Maui Dolphins in NZ cause there are only 111 left in the WHOLE WORLD.
Everything is very exciting but at the same time, kinda slow right now. I'm just waiting for things to start picking up... hrmmm
Me and Litz might be joining a fitness program 3 days a week thats kayaking, boxing and yoga... fun fun!
Im gaining weight already, HK did me in and all I do in Sydney is eat eat eat and drink fattening coffees... so this morning Litz and I woke up early to go for a run but the second I stepped out the door it started pissing rain, sooo that didnt go over so well. Wow this entry is getting amazingly long, but I suppose that is the result of neglecting my blog for such a rediculously long time (sorry everyone!)
Drew is in NZ now but I haven't heard from yet... hopefully I do soon (ahem, drew, thats you!!!) Im so so so so excited that we are so close to eachother now and that in 3 weeks we will be seeing eachother cause he is coming here for a music festival!! The Future Music festival is March 8, which is also the day my housemates and I are re-celebrating Christmas as a new family! Proper with stockings and cookies and everything!
OH. WRITE LOVE ON YOUR ARMS.

1. ive been having a hard time being vegetarian over here. I have been really craving meat... hmmm...
2. Hong Kong is not wheelchair accesible
3. It is not rude to burp, belch, or hork loudly without saying excuse me or covering your mouth here. There is also no sense of personal space.
4. I just finished a great bender with Harvey and various other individuals. We took over Soho and Lan Kwai Fong for 3 nights straight (the party district) and Iv'e fallen in love with a Lychee martini! Esther you'd be proud of me and my adventures haha.

Anyways, couple nights ago me and an australian girl, Sasha, who has many cool stores totell as she's about 9 months through an around the world ticket, and girl from London, Kerrie, who is chinese/irish and is moving here on residency to do chinese ceramics went for proper congee.
Congee is traditionally a brekfast, but we have a 24 hour congee wonderland right beside our hostel! Yum yum...
Next morning we all got up and had more congee then went out adventuring for the day. Me and Sasha looked high and low for shoes but there was just no luck. Kerrie as a friend who lives here so we met up with him at about 6 and then the fun really began. He took us frombar to bar to bar showing us what HK is really like.
Started off at a reguar brew pub, then went to an ice bar, then to this amazing little bar with trees and music and little lights and happy hour that is supposedly one of hk's best kept secret, le gardene i think. Thenn off to numerous more, all ranging in class and price but fortunately the tabs were on him :)
This morning I slept (somewhat) later than I have since being here but it was still pretty interrupted. Its hard in a dorm when peoples alarms are going off starting very early in the morning.
Today will be a lazy day as it's cold and I dont have proper shoes. Oh well.
Perhaps more congee is in store.
take care all, excited to hear from everyone!!

Me and Drew have decided to stay together, and are toying with the idea of moving away to school with eachother. Like i said, just toying with it at the time being but It would be wonderful if that worked out.
Being away made me realize even more how much I love him.

I have had the worst time and have decided to leave since I cant get accomodation down south!
On my first day I wound up in the hospital with heat stroke and severe dehydration. I just cant stand it here. The pvoerty is too much and too scary and I would have done much better with a travel partner.
SO im spending the next two and some weeks on Hong Kong, right before the chinese new year awaiting my plane to Sydney!!!
Im safe, and.. well, will almost be happy (once im out of this damn place)!!!
